One needn’t be a scholar in female psychology to observe that we women learn to wrap our feelings of shame and inadequacy around us like an old familiar blanket. We are too quick to ask, “what’s wrong with me?” instead of examining the dispiriting and disempowering forces that make us doubt ourselves.
